One of my main tasks is to restore the functionality of previous developments and effectively utilize the existing opportunities of the town.
Our priority is to improve the efficiency of the drainage and ditch systems, which is essential for the renovation and modernization of the town's internal roads.
In addition, we aim to implement the following planned projects:
Energy efficiency modernization of municipal buildings
In the future, we plan to increase the energy efficiency of municipal buildings by installing solar panels and heat pumps, reducing energy consumption, and promoting sustainable operations.
Introducing new community-building events
Creating more community-building programs for the working-age population. Providing programs for retirees, possibly in cooperation with other municipalities. Expanding local events by organizing a Pálinka Tasting and Sausage-Making Festival in January, alongside the traditional Potato Day.
Support for Youth
Creating more community spaces, sports, and recreational parks for the youth.
Support for Education
Providing support for kindergarteners, schoolchildren, as well as those in secondary and higher education.
Tourism Development
Integrating Mátraballa into the nationwide successful cycling route network, thereby strengthening the community's role in tourism.
Preservation of Traditions
Preserving Palóc traditions, particularly by reviving the Palóc Wedding, as it could become a central element of Mátraballa’s cultural heritage. This will be the community’s most important cultural and tourist event, ensuring Mátraballa’s place on the map of Hungary and Europe!
How will Mátraballa and its community have more financial resources?
Thanks to the mentioned developments, we will spend less on maintenance, allowing us to use the saved funds as self-financing for further investments.
Supporting community events and preserving traditions not only strengthens local identity but also attracts visitors to the town, contributing to the growth of the local economy and increasing tax revenues.
